CONCORD EMS EDUCATION

Concord EMS is a certified American Heart Association Training Center certified in the disciplines of community CPR, First Aid, Basic Life Support, Advance Cardiac Life Support and pediatrice Advance Life Support. Concord MES also offers ancillary programs such as PreHospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP), 12–lead EKG, Critical Care, and Continuing Eduction.

Experienced Concord EMS insturctors provide low–stress, high-quality programs designed to reinforce basic knowledge and build confidence in a teamwork setting. Courses are scenario–based, with lectures and interactive skill stations.

Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, and AED

Initial or Renewal

This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in First Aid, CPR, and AED use to meet a job, regulatory, or other requirement.

This course covers the most up to date standards from the AHA including first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, environmental emergencies, and adult CPR, and AED use.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP)

Initial or Renewal

This comprehensive 4–hour program is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

This course covers the most up to date standards from the AHA , including one and two rescuer CPR, AED, and relief of choking.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Initial or Renewal

ACLS is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive and critical care units.

This course covers the most up to date standards from the AHA , including BLS, AED, recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest, recognitions, and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia, airway management, related pharmacology, and the management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Initial or Renewal

PALS is for the healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, and others.

PALS covers the most up to date standards from the AHA and includes child and infant CPR with AED use, management of respiratory emergencies, rhythm disturbances and electrical therapy, vascular access, resuscitation team concepts, case discussions and simulations, and the systematic approach for the pediatric assessment.

Pediatric Education for Pre-Hospital Professionals (PEPP)

Initial or Renewal

PEPP represents a complete source of pre-hospital medical information for the emergent care of infants and children. Developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), this course is an exciting curriculum designed specifically to teach pre-hospital professionals how to better assess and manage ill or injured children.

BLS PEPP specifically teaches first responders and EMT–Basics and ALS PEPP is designed for EMT–Specialists and EMT–Paramedics. This comprehensive program ensures the education, skills, and confidence needed to effectively treat pediatric patients.
